There are aspects of God’s character that we don’t fully understand. One of those is the description of God as Consuming Fire. That sounds a bit scary, something or someone to be feared. But what does this name of God tell us about Him and what He wants for us?

Jealousy is bad, right? We are jealous when something we have is threatened by someone else.  We envy when we wish we had something someone else has. So why is God jealous?. God doesn’t need anything from us. The key comes from understanding that God isn’t jealous of us, he’s jealous for us.

It’s been a little over a month since the shooting in Nashville where six people were killed. We know we live in a world of injustice, but something like this often leaves us wondering where is God’s justice? 

When it comes to God and healing, there are so many unanswered questions and often we as Christians get in the way by trying to answer them ourselves. God declares that He is Jehovah Rapha – the God who heals. What do we get right and wrong about this attribute of God?
