The Great Opportunity
The Great Opportunity encourages Christians to replace our ideas about work with the concept of vocation, which is a divine call to God’s service. This isn’t limited to pastors and missionaries. It includes our work, whether we run a business, research and apply scientific methods, take care of children, serve food at a restaurant, defend or prosecute suspects, or play drums for a touring musician.
The Great Opportunity recounts stories of people who have integrated their faith into their work, helps believers re-imagine their work as pleasing to God, and ignites a passion to make disciples in the area of influence where they spend most of their week.
Each chapter is followed by discussion questions, and can be used in a small group setting, one-on-one discipleship and even as a way to inspire church leadership teams to launch a ministry connecting seasoned believers with younger ones coming up or soon to enter a particular vocational field.
