Get a Glimpse of Your Calling — 20s to 30s

Being in your 20s and 30s is a special time of discovery — who you are, what you enjoy, who you want to be around, going different places, trying different things and figuring out what you want to do with your life.  This is also a time when your character is being formed, and even though we often get caught up in activities, remember that it’s more important what God is building in you rather than what He’s doing through you.

Your Season, Your Calling

What are you doing in terms of calling and purpose in this season of your life? What is the big picture of what God is doing? Remember that God is never done working. He’s always up to something.  The moment we know what that is, we can join him in that effort. God has a purpose, a call and need for every one of us.

Jesus Paced Himself. Do You?

We’re two weeks into the year, and many of us are back to our regular, busy schedules.  Even though we told ourselves to slow down this year, be more intentional, leave margin in our lives, be more present, and spend more time in Scripture, it’s so easy to fall back into our default state — busy.  Can Jesus relate? He spent a short time on Earth.  He had a lot to do.  He was surrounded by needs everywhere, but He was never in a hurry and always on time.  What can we learn from Jesus and can we do the same?

Repent to Reset

The new year is a time to reset.  We reflect, we plan and we take action.  But how about starting 2022 with something different — repentance? Taking time for confessions seems like a lost spiritual discipline these days. The heart and act of repentance that should follow takes humility and courage.  It’s hard but worth it.
